The T_20 collections in porcelain ceramics and 20mm thickness are the perfect solution to pave outdoor areas in residential and commercial applications as well as any space requiring excellent technical properties and anti-slip features.
The T_20 range offers a large choice of floors of various type that faithfully reproduce the surface, graphics and details of the most prestigious natural stones and wood essences. T_20 combines aesthetic appeal and the functionality of porcelain tiles, decorates outdoor areas with style and elegance, maintaining its characteristics unaltered over time.

INSTALLATION ONTO GRAVEL, SAND AND GRASS

T_20 can be installed onto grass and gravel substrates using a dry method. An option with excellent aesthetic appeal, for a quick and eco-friendly decoration  of outdoor areas with floors that do not require the use of grouts  and adhesives, are easy to install and can be immediately walked upon.

The advantages of installation onto Gravel, Grass, Sand:

✔️ Quick and easy installation that does not require the intervention of specialised technicians.
✔️ Easy drainage of water (the joints between adjacent slabs are not grouted).
✔️ The material can be removed and replaced at any time without requiring masonry works.
✔️ Avoiding the problems associated with subsidence.
✔️ Avoiding the detachment of tiles.
✔️ Reduced costs and times of installation.
✔️ Removable without demolishing.

TRADITIONAL ADHESIVE INSTALLATION

T_20 installed with the traditional adhesive method onto thefooting allows for the creation of carriageable surfaces withexcellent technical performance. T_20 allows for the creation carriageable floors for luxuriousexternal venues where the excellent resistance features of thematerial combine with aesthetic appeal.

T_20 does not absorb moisture and does not alter when in contact with salts spread on the floor to prevent the formation of ice.

Perfect continuous effect between indoors and outdoors.

The T_20 floors are also available with traditional 10mm thickness: this allows for a perfect continuous effect between indoor and outdoor flooring.

Advantages of Traditional Adhesive Installation.

✔️ Creation of carriageable surfaces using large size slabs.
✔️ Resistant to high traffic stress.
✔️ Stain resistant.
✔️ Easy to clean also using hydro-cleaners.

RAISED INSTALLATION

One of the main uses of T_20 is the raised installation onto polypropylene supports for terraces, gazebos and wherever it is deemed necessary to have flooring that is easily to inspect and easy to remove at all times.  It is an installation system that does not require the use oadhesives and grouts therefore making the floor immediately usable, quick to install and, as previously stated, easy to inspect simply by lifting the slabs.  Raised installation proves particularly suitable in outdoor areas with lighting and irrigation systems. Moreover, it allows to conceal water drainage systems thaare housed in the gap under the floor. Nevertheless, for the installation of raised floors, the supervision by a qualified professional who can validate the laying and the compliance with the norms in force in the various countries, is an absolute necessity.

The Advantages of Raised Installation

✔️ Possibility to house irrigation pipes and/or cables.
✔️ Concealed plants and drainages systems but easy to inspect at all times.
✔️ Easy access for maintenance and replacements of water-proofing  sheaths.
✔️ Easy drainage of water (the joints between adjacent slabs are not  grouted).
✔️ Better acoustic insulation and protection from the heat of the sun.
✔️ Easy cleaning also using hydro-pressure cleaners.
✔️ Installation onto supports with no need for adhesives with reduced  costs and times.
✔️ Opportunity for continuous effect floors, completely planar.
✔️ Opportunity to adjust levels using the various available supports with  fixed or adjustable height.
✔️ Avoiding the problems associated with subsidence of constructions or detachment of tiles as the slabs are not glued. The material can be removed, replaced and reused elsewhere at any time.

Instructions for Project Engineers and Customers

The installation foresees a grout line of 4mm between adjacent tiles and the supports are provided with four spacers to create the desired joint. Before proceeding with the installation, we recommend carefully checking the available space and plan the installation pattern of the load-bearing structure as well as verifying the conditions of the substrate. This operation means you will be able to evaluate inclinations that need to be levelled as well as establish the correct distribution of cuts. We recommend to avoid making perimetral cuts smaller than 10cm.

To conceal the load-bearing structure of raised floors, it is possible to use the vertical edge clip. A solution made up of special stainless steel clips that, once anchored to the upper section and at the base of the support, bear the T_20 slab cut according to the space to cover. If the application of the 20 mm slabs foresees the ceramic product used in structural installations, the project engineer and/or customer must carefully assess the project requirements with regard to the technical specifications of the slabs.

To prevent the risk of damage or injury, the manufacturer recommends:

✔️ With regard to a raised floor installation a ceramic slab may fracture on impact if a heavy object falls on it from any significant height. Therefore the manufacturer recommends to check the specific intended use before starting the installation and to follow table for raised installation provided below. In certain conditions, reinforcing must be applied on the back of the slabs (double fiberglass mesh) supplied and applied by the manufacturer;

✔️ With reference to any dry installation system of flooring above the ground level, the manufacturer recommends to comply with local regulations and conditions of use with regard to wind-load, loadbearing, seismic events, etc.

Failure to comply with these recommendations may lead to  improper use of the product and could cause serious damage or injury.

Drainage of Water

In order to obtain perfect drainage of the foot plan, it is necessary to predispose adequate diagonal and longitudinal inclination during  the levelling and compacting phase of installation. We would like to remind you that porcelain stoneware has a poor level of water absorption and this can lead to deposit of water,  mainly on tile edges.

Warning

Dry-laid outdoor paving at altitude is subject to the action of the wind, which risks raising the slabs. The manufacturer recommends that the suitability of the laying system be verified by a qualified technician, based on current local regulations and usage conditions, to avoid the risk of damage to people and objects.
For further information and laying recommendations, see our website www.supergres.com
When the application of 20 mm slabs requires the use of a ceramic product in structural terms, the design engineer and/or client should carefully assess the project requisites in relation to the technical characteristics of the slabs. In particular, in order to avoid the risk of damage to people and objects, the manufacturer recommends:

✔️ with reference to paving laid at altitude, using any dry laying system, that regulatory specifications and local usage conditions be respected regarding, merely by way of example, the action of the wind structural load, seismic activity, etc… Failure to follow the recommendations above may lead to an improper use of the product and cause serious damage to people and objects.

✔️ The maximum height permitted for the T20 UP raised laying system is 30 cm (12”).
